The biggest 3 day tour in NSW and the ACT begins in Canberra this Friday.

Over 300 of the best cyclists from across Australia are set to arrive in Canberra to race this mammoth road cycling event.

New spectator friendly courses have been a major feature of this year’s event, with many cyclists’ travelling with their families who will be visiting Floriade and the ACT’s national attractions as well as cheering on their family members and friends.

Tour ambassador and recent Subaru National Road Series round winner Rebecca Wiasak is confident that the new courses will meet the expectations of the cycling community.

‘The new courses set the Tour apart from other National Road Series events and deliver a unique Canberra experience. The Yarralumla embassy loop with the finish on Black Mountain will definitely deliver some surprises, and the location and atmosphere will make it that Stage pretty hard to top.’

‘We are extremely excited to welcome interstate cyclists to the Tour, and to show off our great region,’ says Media Director Michelle Balaz

‘The Australian cycling community is extremely close knit, so a great Tour experience this year will bring even more entrants next year and help to grow the race even further.’

The National Capital Tour runs from Friday 16th September to Sunday 18th September. For more information please visit
